I am a Kansas City Strength Coach and trainer who owns Kansas City Barbell in East Crossroads. My gym is strength focused and we are the first and only dedicated strength training facility in downtown KCMO.
There are two branches to my training services.
In person work through Kansas City Barbell. I have a very limited 1-on-1 personal coaching schedule and we have group coaching available for Strength and Conditioning, Powerlifting, and Olympic Weightlifting.
Online services for athletes, non-athletes, fitness, weight loss, strength, bodybuilding… I got you covered and this remote/online service is available to those who do not have the capability to train with me in person.
What about me?
What makes me… me?
I have been a trainer/coach since the late 90’s. That is quite a while, isn’t it?
I gained mass, I leaned up, I came back from a heart condition and fully recovered.
I played Superleague rugby, had a failed NFL workout, competed in Strongman in the late 90s to early 2000’s, and competed in a few Powerlifting meets – mostly push/pulls and unsanctioned.
I trained kids, high school athletes, professional athletes, moms, dads, 50 year old badasses whose work ethic would shame most 20 year old kids…
All I ask of you is one simple thing:
Give me your best
We exist in a world where being uncomfortable isn’t a necessity, where physicality isn’t needed in order to survive, and where our entire life can be spend in relative comfort without testing what you are made of as a human being.
Athletes and those who train challenge themselves with their actions, their sport, and their goals.
We are all capable of harnessing the primal side of what makes us humans and harnessing that into our own version of physical excellence.
It’s time to get up and do shit.
