Training day 03-06-2013

If there ever was a day when I could repeat a workout like Bill Murray repeated every Groundhog Day in… well “Groundhog Day”, today would be the day.

Terrible would be an understatement. This was about as shit a workout as shit workouts go.

The only redeeming factor was my massive strip set of leg press after my shitbag squat workout.

I slept like a meth-head last night.

I ate like a bulimic teenager today.

I drank less water than a man stuck in the desert….

All in all it added up to a workout that I wanted to throw in the street and kick in the face like the old me.

Oops, I hope the statute of limitations ran out on that self-incriminating statement.

SQUAT
Set 1: 135 lbs × 2
Set 2: 225 lbs × 2
Set 3: 315 lbs × 2
Set 4: 405 lbs × 2
Set 5: 405 lbs × 2
Set 6: 405 lbs × 2

A. I warmed up too quickly
B. My head was up my ass during these sets
C. Light felt like hell, 405 felt like hell. I mean every rep felt like I was dizzy. Sucked. I have no idea why… yea none.

LEG PRESS
Set 1: 450 lbs × 12
Set 2: 450 lbs × 12
Set 3: 540 lbs × 12
Set 4: 540 lbs × 12
Set 5: 450 lbs × 12
Set 6: 360 lbs × 12
Set 7: 270 lbs × 10
Set 8: 180 lbs × 10

Set 4-8 was basically one big ass drop set… it took me about 2:40 to do the whole thing. No, I didn’t time it… I filmed it… and no I didn’t upload it… I never do unless its a big lift. Someone got it… but not YouTube.

DB RDL
Set 1: 50 lbs × 15
Set 2: 50 lbs × 15
Set 3: 50 lbs × 15

BAND ROWS
Set 1: 100 lbs × 100

BAND PULLDOWNS
Set 1: 100 lbs × 50
The rest was high rep paradise.
Not every workout is going to be a winner. I don’t blow my body up with tons of AAS to be able to rage through a workout. I pick my battles and today my battle was lost in the gym.
Besides… the Omega is a finisher… that’s what matters.
