I have followed my own program, the Ashman Strength System, successfully for well over 6 months. Physique gains and strength gains were plenty and testers on the program were, and are, happy with their progress on it.
After hearing about the Cube, I decided to give that a 10 week run. I am in the middle of week 6 and I am enjoying it so far. It may not be the best for ME but it’s a great system for a lifter for sure.
When this 10 week run is up I am taking a break from lifting as heavy as I can and going to focus on purely aesthetics and physique for a while.
Why? Because I want to….
Now this may be a dirty word in the strength world but I’m at the point in my life where I want to see how good I can attempt to look.
Enter Doggcrapp training.
I will be following it for the first 6 weeks to the letter and then tweaking it to fit my needs after the 6 weeks. I live for program experimentation (on myself) and want to see what my twisted mind comes up with to fit my needs and goals.
Right now I am 270 pounds and looking at myself from progress pics from the start of my own system until now is remarkable. I want to see how much more I can improve switching it up to purely bodybuilding work before I travel back into strength work.
I’m lean and could easily hold more well placed size in certain areas. My legs are coming along well with the frequent squatting and my back is immense. I want other areas to catch up and look more balanced.
I will return to strength work, but I want to see what I can do physique wise once and for all.
A little over 5 weeks to go until the grand experiment. Let the fun begin.
