Today was a leg massacre….
Early AM sprints… too dark to measure and didn’t give a shit. My priority wasn’t distance, it was effort.
Did about 20 short distance sprints.
Really affected my squatting tonight as I haven’t sprinted since 1934.
There’s a huge reason why I am doing this, its for a good cause 😉
Safety Squat Bar low box squats
155 x 5
245 x 3
335 x 2
355 x 3 x 2
Legs felt like a pile of ass from the sprints… didn’t expect anything good.
On the bright side, I did them.
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 3
455 x 2 x 3
4 plates up and back 6 times…
On a rubber floor, legs shot… why???????????
Things I am discovering working out as often as I am is this:
- Overtraining is hard to do unless you are killing the volume by doing 85 exercises per session
- My legs are growing rather sweetly
- My back looks like the Andes
- If I can get my stubborn-ass midsection a little better I will approach respectable status
Not that I really give a shit about the midsection, but….. well you know… we are all a bit vain and the ones who aren’t are kidding themselves.
